Interesting tasting event with a nice diversity of wines. Opportunity to taste very different and interesting wines. Wines from Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, USA were available. Including some fortified wines: Ports (Graham's) and Sherry (Emilio Lustau).

Was in the mood for white wines that night. Sorry for the great reds I didn't take the time to experience.
These are the wines I tasted during the two hour session:

France (Loire Valley)

  • Henri Bourgeois
    Les Baronnes Sancerre Blanc (2016)
    Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
    La Bourgeoise Sancerre Blanc (2014)
    Variety: Sauvignon Blanc

If you want to experience a little bit and discover how much a soil (terroir) makes a difference, try these two Sancerres: the same grape (Sauvignon Blanc), on two different soils from the same region (Loire Valley), generates very distinctive bouquet and aromas. The first one, Baronnes, grown on limestone and the second one, Bourgeoise, on flintstone.

France (Southwest)

  • Domaine Gayda
    T'air D'OC Sauvignon Blanc (2016), IGP Pays D'OC
    Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Cepage Chardonnay (2016), IGP Pays D'OC
    Variety: Chardonnay
Figure Libre Freestyle Blanc (2016), IGP Pays D'OC
Varieties: Grenache Blanc, Maccabeu, Marsanne, Rousanne, Chenin Blanc

Italy (Alto Adige)

  • Cembra
    Muller Thurgau Trentino DOC (2016)
    Variety: Muller Thurgau

  • St Pauls
    Pinot Bianco Plotzner (2016)
    Variety: Pinot Bianco
    Gewurztraminer "Passion" (2014)
    Variety: Gewurztraminer

Portugal (Douro)

  • Prats & Symington
    Prazo de Roriz (2012)
Varieties: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Tintp Cao, Sousao
    Post Scriptum (2013)
Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca
Prats & Symington Douro Bottles

Spain

USA (Washington State)

  • Chateau Ste Michelle
    Indian Wells Chardonnay (2015)
    Variety: Chardonnay
    Columbia Valley Dry Riesling (2014)
    Variety: Riesling

  • Eroica
    Eroica Riesling (2015)
    Variety: Riesling

Summary

Overall a nice event, thought a little bit crowded towards the end.
I definitively enjoyed discovering wines I didn't taste before with good surprises like: Clos Henri (from Henri Bourgeois New Zealand estate), Eroica Riesling (Eroica Washington State, USA), Gewuztraminer "Passion" (form St Pauls, Alto Adige, Italy) and the only red I tasted that night, Post Scriptum (from Pats & Symington, Douro, Portugal).
Other notable wines that I enjoyed (but not a surprise as they are often a sure bet): the Sancerres (from Henri Bourgeois, France), Basa Blanco (Verdejo from Telmo Rodríguez, Spain).
